Module 7 - Grant Proposal (I hope this doesn't mess up the order too bad)

Grant Proposal

Here is my grant proposal, I hope you all enjoy it. I worked many hours on this bad boy and had a lot of help from Dr. Deb Hemler. I am also sorry I posted it so early and I hope I don't mess up the order of things, I just wanted it done and over with lol. Integrating 3D Virtual Reality into the Classroom with the Oculus Rift

  1. Sean,
Very good work! I really like the concept and location of the proposal since it would be available to more students than just one school. The new acronym being tossed around for STEM is STEAM as a way to add a writing / creative arts component to the STEM classes. Since you are exposing students to a very creative tool you might find a resource that is interested in being included from a graphic/ creative point of view... just a thought. Great proposal! Best of Luck (though I do Not believe in luck, but rather good preparation and timing).

  2. Rafe, thanks for bringing up STEAM! As an arts advocate I love that they are becoming more prominent in the brainstorming/collaboration of various creative disciplines paired with Science and Engineering. It's awesome!

    Sean,
to echo Rafe, very good work! I can tell you put lots of work into this and it seems like your timeline and budget is VERY well thought out. I went with lower risk, lower budget grant gadgets, but power to us all for trying to be innovative! Nicely done and Happy Holidays. We all earned a rest!

  3. Sean,
Great job! You can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into your Grant Proposal. The Oculus Rift seems like it would be an excellent addition to your classroom. The details in your proposal are very easy to follow and your proposal was very nice and interesting to read.

  4. Sean,
You did a great job! I think pushing the abilities of technology in the classroom is great, and this seems like it could give users a very cool experience. As another teacher of the arts I think that its amazing that the arts are being brought out more in other subjects!
