My Introduction


 My name is Brianna Jones and I am from Clarksburg, WV. I have been teaching at Robert C. Byrd High School for three years now. I taught Math 1 for two years and recently became the Library Media Specialist this year. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Digital Media, New Literacies, and Learning. I want to help my school and fellow teachers take the steps needed into implementing more technology sources in their classrooms.
I am very family oriented. The picture to the right is my nephew Cohen and myself. He will be turning 6 in September and is starting Kindergarten today. I have a husband, Mark, who is also a teacher and he just switched to teaching at RCB this year. On August 2 we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. In the past I used to coach high school cheerleading (for about 5 years) and high school track as well (for 2 years). I currently have two jobs and am taking two online Masters courses. I hope that everyone has a great semester and I can't wait to work with you.

    I am in the same Master's degree program as you and have the same goals in helping teachers use technology efficiently in their classrooms. Congratulations on your recent wedding anniversary and sounds like you are very involved and know what you want out of your career. Nice to meet you!

    Welcome, Brianna! You are very busy! I hope this course helps you locate resources via grant opportunities to provide professional learning and possible technology tools for effective integration. I'm very interested in learning about your role as a library media specialist.

    Happy first day of Kindergarten, Cohen! As our Kindergarten students entered the building last week, we watched as parents said their tearful goodbyes. This week, there are a lot of smiles:)

    Brianna,
    I hope all is going well for you in the media specialist (library) position. I met Mark at the math day training and he seemed excited about his move to RCB. I'm looking forward to the year and the classes I have to finish this Master's in DMNLL. As I said in my post I really looking forward to learning from the others in this class, which I'm certain will be much much (more) better (Lol) than the last class we had together if you recall. Do you have just to one class this semester?

      I definitely think that it will be better than the last class we had together. I am taking two courses this semester. My second course is EDUC 6810.
